Hi All,
As we wrap up our exciting weekend of finals games, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone for being a crucial part of the Runcorn Rockets family this Season One of 2025. I see the word ‘family’ used a lot in sports and other areas and I shy away from using this word but when I read the WhatsApp groups, teaams having birthday parties, meeting up during holidays, socialising together, kids doing other things together not just Basketball and truly caring about each other, so I am happy to use the word ‘family’ when talking about Rockets.
Registration Now Open!
Registrations are officially open!
In one week's time, everyone who has registered will receive a flyer for our Welcome Day, scheduled for Saturday 12 July. During this event, we will organize free Sausages and drinks for the players and we will look at the teams for Season Two. We need to have all the team’s information to Southwest Metro by Tuesday, 14 July. While I expect most teams to remain the same, we are happy to consider any requests for moving to a different division. If you won your division there will need to be some changes as we cannot have the same team stay in a division if they won. We will assess the players and will look for positions on other teams if needed.
Special Offer for Coaches and Managerst
To show our appreciation for our coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers, we’re offering two free tickets to an NBL1 game along with two food vouchers. To ensure we prepare the right amount of meals, please complete registration by Wednesday this week.
Please send an email to info@rocketsbasketball.com.au if you were a Coach, Assistant coach or Manager and you would like to be part of the NBL1 night.
Communications
We will be closing off all the WhatsApp’s groups once we have our grading day as the team numbers will change for season 2
Training Schedule Update
Please note that the Under 10 and Under 8 teams will continue training on Monday and Wednesday, but there will be no training on Friday.
Thank you everyone
From the courts,
Mark Smith
