I thought we would do one where the parents can get involved as I know you were all looking forward to being more involved with coaching the kids. Also put a bit of 60's & 70's music probably does not suit the drill but I like the song.

Couple of things – firstly when do we come back?

Coming back is out of our control as the Government makes that decision but next week Southwest are having a board meeting and on the 22^nd of this month Basketball Qld are having their meeting. What this means is that everyone is working towards being prepared to start up again.

I attend all Southwest board meetings & all decisions from Basketball Qld go to the Southwest board so I will keep everyone informed of what is happening.

Some things that occurred prior to us going into hibernation and during hibernation.

Nick Potter from CompleteENT on Wickham Terrace (who really did not want me to say anything) has donated a set of playing Singlets – it is very special when we receive donations or sponsorship from our members. As a Not for profit organisation donations, Grants & sponsorship are our life blood and allows us to do those extra things for all the kids.

Dr Yu Zhong from Joyedu Academy and Joyce from Joyz consulting had started having discussions with us about taking a team to China or maybe a team visiting us. This of course will be put on the back burner for a little while but things do take a long time to plan so we will keep having discussions with a range of people so that our members can have different opportunities in life. To help us along Dr Yu gave the club a donation to put towards having one of our little tournaments so we thank them for that and look forward to doing something together in the future.

In my next email I will tell you about the wonderful things 4 other special sponsors (Nolan’s Paints, Mylestone Employment, Body Corporate Services, Cross Fit Magnetic) have done for our club during this hibernation time.
