Hi everyone,

Our latest update.

We have had a few emails querying fees & dates and I am sorry we have not been able to supply you more detailed information earlier. Things have been changing so much & we thought it was better to tell everyone what is happening when we have more concrete information.

We have no control over dates but we think the dates are ok and this is how our year will progress:

· Start Basketball after the school holidays 17/18^th July (start of term 3)

· No fees are payable when you come back so you all come back and play, yeehhhh – we did not play in term 2 so in term 3 there is no payment

· Each season there is about 15/16 weeks plus finals so about 17/18 weeks – this year the season will be around 23 weeks depending on the age group. This year our season is about 5 weeks longer than a normal season depending on the age group. Nothing is the same as it was & the size of this season is no different.

· This year there is not a season 2 where we change age groups it is all one big season staying in the current age groups, U10,12,14,16 etc. Everyone will be in the same team with their friends when we come back.

· The finals will be played at the end of Term 4. Once we know the draw for term 4 and the date of the finals we will be able to work out the costs for term 4

· We are a not for profit organisation, we only charge what we get charged for i.e. the training/Games and any other fees so I don’t think the fees for term 4 will be very much. We have missed a couple of games in term 1 and Southwest have added 5 weeks to the competition so we don’t believe it will be very much.

· Being a non-contact sport (remember you get a foul if you touch another player with your hands) a lot of children want to try the sport and most children have been doing nothing for some period of time. We will be taking on enrolments and the costs will only be for term 3 and then like I said previously when we know the amount of games for term 4 we will work out the costs for term 4.

· Our next step is when we can start training- we will keep in contact so everyone knows when we start
