Busy weekend coming up. Friday night is the last NBL1 home game and Saturday is our Welcome day.

NBL1 Home game

We have an exciting NBL1 game this Friday night, which is also our last home game of the season. If you come to the game and wear a rocket shirt, you will receive free hot chips. Just enter through the front door and you will be given a voucher to redeem your free hot chips.

On the night the U14 Div 1 boys will be presented with the medal for winning the state championships and they are off to Nationals in September. This is the first time in the history of Southwest Metro that a Boys U14 Div 1 team has won State Championships and going to Nationals.

In the team Rockets have the Coach - Mack Utai, Assistant Coach - Ramadan Rahmaz, Manager - Chris Bell, Players - Brandon Nolan ( MVP of the Championships), Callum Bell, Christopher Pepping, Daniel Nicolas, Hayden Nguyen, Diezel Dennis. As you can see there was a very large contingent of Rockets players and staff in this team.

Rockets did have many children playing in the State Championships over the break and from all accounts all of our players had a great experience and you will have those memories for many years.

Welcome day

Our welcome day, will be held on this Saturday at Runcorn State High School. The Welcome day is a great opportunity for everyone to connect with each other. If you are new to our community, this is the perfect chance for you to meet other parents and for us to assess all players and determine which division they will be playing in during the trials. We will have NBL1 players, state coach and our regular coaches present on the day, so it's going to be a fantastic event.

For those of you who are between the ages of 14 and 18, we have something special for you. We will be hosting vertical jump testing from BeActive Allied Health & Performance. You can visit their booth on the day to participate in the testing.
