Hi Everyone,

So many things this week to talk about…….

We had 44 teams play this week which is truly amazing. All games for next week will be up on the system on Sunday evening. If you are playing next week, there will be training. If you are not playing next week your coach may not be taking training so please check.

If your child is registered as “train only” or plays in any age group up to U13 and you are interested in coming to the Christmas party please register - Coaches & Rockets registered players and Train only children do not have to pay, link to book is https://www.trybooking.com/BVQBF

We will only be allowing registered players to enter the pool area with us. On the day we will have a DJ, lots of food & drink, trophy presentation and lots of swimming and fun which will be a fantastic break up.

We are already taking registrations for next year, so please try to get your registration done early for 2022.

We have engaged a Coaching Program Director Deola D’Brown to help our coaches in 2022. He and his team will develop drills, processes and show each coach how to run these drills. It will be a very exciting time for us and our coaches next year.

At the training for U8/10 on Monday and Friday this week the mums will be playing the kids, so mums bring your Basketball shoes. On Monday, on the mums’ teams we have Deola (6’6’’’) playing with Jonathan Mines (who played in Greece and last year for the NZ Breakers in the NBL) & Friday we will have Brendan Teys (played for Adelaide 36s in the NBL) and Jonathan Mines. So the mums’ teams will be pretty strong against the U8 and U10 kids. It is a lot of fun so expect plenty of laughs.

Don’t forget to get to your game early on finals day and stay a little after your game to cheer for any of the Rockets teams after your game. Be loud and proud to be a Rockets person it is an exciting time of the year for all the kids.
