Hi All

It has been a great week with lots of things happening.

Two of our U13 boys will be School Captains in 2022.

We would all like to congratulate Bradley Stewart who will be school captain for McGregor State Primary School and Joseph Toia who will be school captain for Algester State Primary School.

I often wonder about the children that play at Rockets and what they will do later on in life. After taking photos over the weekend of children playing in our club, I know they will have a wonderful future because of how they act, how they talk to each other and the guidance they receive from their mums and dads. I believe and am hopeful they will all remember these times in their lives as happy times and where they learnt lots of life skills.

We are always interested in what our players achieve outside of Basketball so please send us this information or stop me if you see me at the courts.

We no longer have to wait outside at any venues and can move onto the benches as soon as the game before you is finished. Please be aware if you are wearing under garments under your playing Singlet, every child in the team must wear exactly the same under garment as per South West Competition rules.

One of our sponsors JoyEdu is having an outdoor movie evening on Saturday 11^th December. I will tell you more about the evening as it gets closer – I love outdoor movies. This will be the evening before the breakup of our younger children.

You will shortly be able to register for next year (Southwest Metro should have their prices to us early next week). We will also have age groups listed where they train and what times. We won’t know the exact teams but it will give you a very good idea of what is available.

We would like to congratulate one of our coaches Mayz on the birth of her daughter Zarya on 27th October. Mayz coached our under 14 and 15 boys and below is a pic of our youngest Rockets member.

We have a couple other families who will be expecting additional family members in 2022 and I will inform every one of their births as they occur.
