Hi all,

It has been a busy Basketball holiday time with our mini tournament, several camps over the break and of course the U14 State Championships. Our congratulations goes out to those boys & girls that participated in the State championships & of course our coaches that were connected to the rep teams, Anaru Patrick, Kornel Domonji, Mohammad Abdullah, Al Rasool, Ramadan Rahmat – hope I have not missed anyone.

Training for term 4 starts Tuesday and the draw for all games up until the 30^th October are in the team app.

There is a new public holiday on 29^th October that was in replacement of the Ekka holiday and Southwest have added this weekend into our draw and there will be games on that week end. If you have a family get away planned that weekend, could you please tell your coach so we can change players around for that week if it is possible.

Our competition will finish on the weekend of the 10/11^th December and if you play on a Saturday we will have our breakup on 12th December at Hibiscus pool. If you play your games on Friday night, we are organising a pizza and game night and we are just finalising dates and location.

In term 4 we will still have Sidney Mines on a Thursday and Janette will be organising who attends thoes sessions, Brendan Teys will still be helping the young children and we have Jonathan Mines who will be helping the U11’s. Jonathan played basketball in Greece prior to COVID and then played with the New Zealand Breakers in the NBL last season so he will be a great asset to the club and the kids will learn a lot.
